Bracing Pipe Clamp
Sway brace attachments are the pipe attachment component of a complete sway brace assembly, and used in conjunction with an upper attachment, and joined together with bracing pipe.
Designed to rigidly brace piping systems subjected to longitudinal and lateral seismic loads. May also be installed to brace piping systems subjected to vertical seismic loads.
Description
Size Range: Braces pipe from 1” to 8”.
Maximum temperature Plain 650°F, Galvanized 450°F.
Conforms with NFPA 13.
Features: Use for both lateral and longitudinal sway brace applications. Snap-off bolt head helps enable easy installation and inspection of seismic sway braces
Installation: Place it around pipe to be braced, and position attachment as needed. Tighten clamping bolts.
Insert bracing pipe into the attachment jaw and tighten the break-off bolt until the hex head breaks off.
Ordering: Specify service pipe size, brace pipe size, figure number, finish and description.
Service: Sway or seismic disturbance pipe system.
Construction
Material: Carbon Steel Clamp and Ductile Iron.
Finish: Plain or Galvanized (Brace Socket Electro-Galvanized per ASTM B633 and Clamps Hot-Dip Galvanized per ASTM A153). Other finishes upon request.
